About the book
Yo-Kai Watch (妖怪ウォッチ) is a series based on the popular video game developed and published by Level-5.
The franchise has amassed a huge following, and is currently one of the top most popular series among children in Japan, with its anime movie raking in the highest grossing opening weekend of any Japanese film. The English animated series is scheduled to be released in July/August 2015 in Asia. Various toys, such as the Yo-Kai Watch and Yo-Kai Medals, have been produced based on the series, receiving high commercial success. Hasbro will release a toy line based on the series worldwide in 2016.
In 2014, Yo-Kai Watch’s manga in CoroCoro Comic won the 38th Kodansha Manga Award in the Best Children’s Manga category.
Summary of the book
The Yo-kai are at it again! This time, the girls in class are going crazy over Kanchi! Can Keita befriend the Yo-kai responsible before Fumi falls for someone else?! Keita and friends also encounter other interesting Yo-kai… including a Yo-kai who claims to be Jibanyan!!
