About the book
Pokémon Adventures, originally released in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Special (ポケットモンスターSPECIAL), is a Pokémon-related manga based on the video games. It is the best-selling children’s manga in Singapore. The series is divided into several distinct parts which are known as chapters. There are twelve major divisions at present, with nine of them completely published. 50 volumes of the manga have been released as of March 2014.
Volume 42 is based on the Generation IV games, HeartGold and SoulSilver. Volumes 43 and onwards are based on the Generation V games, with Volumes 43 to 51 taking after the Pokémon Black and White games, while Volume 52 and beyond correspond to Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
