Pokémon Adventures, originally released in Japan as Pocket Monsters: Special (ポケットモンスター SPECIAL), is a Pokémon-related manga based on the video games. It is the best-selling children’s manga in Singapore. The series is divided into several distinct parts which are known as chapters. There are twelve major divisions at present, with nine of them completely published. 50 volumes of the manga have been released as of March 2014. Volume 42 is based on the Generation IV games, HeartGold and SoulSilver.
