About the book
Gundam is a science fiction media franchise created by Sunrise that feature giant robots (or “mecha”) called “mobile suits”. The original Gundam series was released in 1979, and the Gundam Franchise is widely recognized within the anime fan community even today. The series defined the real robot genre of anime by featuring giant robots in a militaristic war setting. It is regarded as the “Star Wars” or “Star Trek” of Japan with respect of its popularity since its creation. Titles have appeared in the form of multiple television series and OVAs, movies, manga, novels, and video games. Summary of the book
