Future Card Buddyfight: Dark Game Chronicles is a spin-off from the hot-selling manga series “Future Card Buddyfight!” – with 6 volumes published by Shogakakukan Asia and over 20,000 copies sold to date.

Based on the popular Trading Card Game, the Buddyfight franchise now consists of the card game, anime (broadcast in Singapore, Malaysia, North America, and online through YouTube and Hulu) and manga adaptation. Buddyfight Dark Game Chronicles is seralized in “Corocoro Aniki” and illustrated by Masaki Yoshida, and focuses on new characters and cards introduced in the game.

Buddyfight tournaments and workshops are also currently conducted in Europe, USA and the Asia-Oceania region to promote the franchise, with more monthly sanctioned tournaments planned for the future.

Summary of the book

Six months later, a new Dark Game tournament has begun in the underworld. Tohru Kageura, who had since lost his ability to see the Death Deity, is lured back into the game when he hears of a “God of Buddyfight”, and enters the tournament in search of what he thinks will be a worthy opponent.
