About the book
Future Card Buddyfight (フューチャーカード バディファイト)! is a Japanese collectible card game created by Bushiroad (of Cardfight!! Vanguard). The card game was launched worldwide in 2014, along with the English version card pack and the simulcast English-dub anime.
The manga adaptation began serialization in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic in 2013, while Volume 1 launched in 2014. It follows the characters in the anime series, with the protagonists engaging in battles that use actual tournament rules. Buddyfight tournaments and workshops are currently available worldwide, with more monthly sanctioned tournaments planned for the future!
Summary of the book
Gao and Drum are back from their romp in Dungeon World, and can’t wait to try out their new skills in some intense Buddyfighting! During their absence, however, their hometown has been caught up in a bizarre serial Buddyfighter kidnapping case! Gao soon learns that no Buddyfighter is safe, not even Buddy Police Tasuku, who goes missing soon after Gao makes it back home!
